Dr. Charles Vogel
Dr. Vogel is a native of Springfield, Missouri, and you might even say a native to the art of dentistry. His grandfather was a dentist in Springfield as well, so dentistry must be in his blood; he was born to be a dentist.
After Dr. Vogel received his DDS from UMKC School of Dentistry (dentistry.umkc.edu) in 1966, he headed back to Springfield to begin his career. He acquired a practice from a retiring dentist and eventually met up with the Heard brothers. The trio decided to combine the three practices into one in 1994.
Since you are never too old to learn, Dr. Vogel constantly continues his education through courses offered from dental academies and centers. He has attended the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study (www.dawsoncenter.com) and The Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education (www.pankey.org). Dr. Vogel has studied under Dr. Donald Callan, at Implant Dentistry Today (www.masteringdentalimplants.com) located in Little Rock, Arkansas, as well.
Dr. Vogel has articles published annually in “Dental Economics”, a magazine geared towards the dentistry field. He is also a member of the American Dental Association (www.ada.org), the Missouri Dental Association (www.modental.org), the Greater Springfield Dental Association, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and the American Academy of Dental Practice Administration.
For the years 2003 and 2004, the Consumer Research Council of America recognized Dr. Vogel as one of America’s Top Dentists for outstanding Restorative and Implant Care.
Dr. Bauer was born and raised here in Springfield, Mo. He graduated from Springfield Catholic High School in 1997, and went on to graduate from Benedictine College in 2001. He received his D.D.S. from the University of Missouri-Kansa City School of Dentistry (www.umkc.edu) in 2005. Dr. Bauer was then selected to be a resident in Advanced General Dentistry, where he was instructed in advanced crown and bridge, implants, and cosmetic dentistry, among other areas.
Dr. Bauer’s experience in dentistry did not begin in dental school. During summer and winter vacations from college, he worked as a laboratory technician at Edmond’s Dental Laboratory (www.edplabs.com). His father, Jim, is the General Manager at the lab, and Dr. Bauer has wonderful memories of visiting his dad at the lab as a child.
Dr. Bauer is a member of the American Dental Association (www.ada.com), the Missouri Dental Association (www.modental.org), the Academy of General Dentistry (www.agd.org), and the Springfield Dental Society.

Some of our dental services are not covered by insurance and none are covered by Medicare and Medicaid. When first consulting Dr. Bauer and Dr. Vogel you will be given as many choices as possible. By training as General Dentists, they are familiar with all treatment modalities of their profession. Although they have had additional education after receiving their dental degrees, cosmetic and implant dentistry is not a specialty and requires no specific training to advertise these services. |
